  1. No experience or qualifications? Email Trudeau, he'll give you a cabinet position.

    2. Step One: Attend a real university, not a career college posing as a university.

Step Two: Become more involved in your field outside of your classes.

Step Three: Build contacts, excel in studies, build CV.

Step Four: Choose from multiple job offers when companies and institutions come to you.

  3. Don't worry man. I'm a political science major and i get better and higher paying coop jobs than a lot of my friends who are in STEM Programs. We've compared our jobs so no i am not talking out of my ass. People are ignorant and unaware of all the career opportunities. I would suggest checking for city jobs/internships. Municipalities usually have a few jobs listed so as long as you dont have a problem with relocating somewhere in the GTA you should have some options. Also, try looking into public libraries and office work just to get something on the resume that isn't retail or restaurant work.

Honestly, as long as you have a genuine interest in the work your applying to and you enjoy it, you'll be fine. It is true that it is harder to get a job with an arts degree but if youre persistent youll be able to find something. Good luck!
