QUESTION:

So how do all you Trudeau supporters feel about the 25000 new guests coming to free-load in Canada?

  1. I would feel better if I could buy my weed at the grocery store already

  2. Your comment is a little biased. But I'm thrilled, Canada used to be known as a peacekeeping nation and one that always lends a hand to those in need. I'm glad we are doing that again.

  3. God forbid we help people who are trying to escape from war and violence. They should just lay down and accept it right? After all, they chose to be born there!

  4. These people are coming from unimaginable circumstances. As Canadians we can't even begin to understand their struggle. If we have the space and resources, why not help someone? There is a difference between "free-loading" and surviving.

  5. The West, including Canada, is responsible for most of what is happening in the Middle-East. They (you, we) invaded sovereign countries, destabilized governments, sold weapons to rebel groups and fueled civil wars. If you are debating that, you are in denial.

    1. That is true, but how about Africa, Asia? Why not split the 25000 into 4 regions and not focus only on the Middle East? If we do it that way, we can help everyone

  6. So ignorant lol.

Canada has a population of about 35 million. 25000 people is 0.07% of our population.

Ontario has a population of about 13.6 million. Of that, about 1.03 million are on welfare. 25000 is only about 2.4% of the number of people on welfare in Canada alone.

It's not the immigrants you should be concerned about, it's the lazy assholes that are already here.

  7. I am fine with it if private individuals signed up to house them with the government covering only part of the cost.

If the government just gives them houses and money it will probably not end well.

If you don't "guide" people into integration you are going to end up with a bunch of poorly educated individuals dependent on the government rather than getting support from and improving their local communities.

  8. Turning Calgary into Calais is not something I'd like to see

  9. OP, what is wrong with you? These people are fleeing war, not taking a free vacation. The international community should offer support because their government has failed to protect their citizens.

  11. Option A: They are coming to freeload
Option B: They are coming to take our jobs

The actions of a few definitely should be taken to be the actions of all. What about all the white kids shooting schools up in the States? It's ok...
