QUESTION: What's the healthiest way to lose 5-6 lbs in just over 2 weeks? I'm going on vacation and I wanna look hot in a bikini.

  3. 6 pounds is a 21000 calorie deficit. You have 14 days which means you need to burn 1500 more calories per day than you consume. I'm going to assume you're about 130lbs,20, female and about 5ft 5... Given those factors you'll burn 1500 calories every day simply being alive (no movement) If you hit the gym every day you might be able to burn a total of 2000-2200 calories. This only lets you eat about 500-700 calories a day. This is going to be extremely difficult. You can't do it in a healthy way. You might be able to drop 2 pounds or maybe even 3.

    If you're holding water weight (which I'm guessing you're not unless you take something like creatine) you can drop that weight by discontinuing the supplement. You could also burn your extra water weight with diuretics but this is not healthy.

  4. Agreeing with 4, its too short of a time period. Although I would like to point out something: weight loss doesn't equal looking different all the time.

    I'm saying this because you can "lose" 5-6 lbs easily with none of that being fat, thus you won't look any better. For example if you go on a juice diet for a week and hit up the steam room, you'd probably lose like 6-8 lbs just from your emptying G.I tract and losing water.

    But I'm assuming you mean to lose fat only (or primarily), in which case I don't think that'd be possible in 2 weeks. But I would still recommend hitting the gym. A combination of muscle tone and weight loss will make you look alot better, although you won't see a big weight decrease fast. But its looks your after so it works out.

    1. +1, while you can't lose that kind of weight in two weeks you can definitely look and feel better by eating smaller portions and working out. As for the vacation, just eat a little less before bikini times.
