QUESTION: Possible to go from just friends to relationship? Anyone successfully escape the "friend zone"?

  1. Get over the friend zone, it's just an excuse people use when the friend doesn't like them like that. If a person sees you just as a friend then that's all they see you as. It sucks to hear but it is what it is. If you value the friendship you won't let it change anything. Who knows, things could change down the road but it doesn't mean there's anything you can really do right now to change the circumstances

  2. no such thing as friendzone, you can always get out of "friend zone" by asking the girl out. If she says no it means you just turn her on.

  3. Sometimes I tell guys that they are my friends but am not implying that they must only remain my friend. You can ask her out on a date, be specific about it being a date and not a hangout, and if she says no then you cannot be anything more than friends.

    1. If that ever happened to me there is no way I could be friends with that girl. this is precisely why i think guys and girls can't be friends

    2. Well 3a, I guess the issue is your misplaced shame rather than any "friendzone". Why can't you be friends after being told it can't be anything more?

    3. Because the fact that I want to date you means I like you in a romantic way AND a friendly way. If you say we can't date, then everytime I would look at you I would just feel like god damn I want this to be romantic as well. I don't want to torture myself so I would just not be friends with her. Which is why the only real way a guy and a girl can be friends is if they are really never ever going to be romantically attracted to each other

  4. We talked. We connected. We had some fun. Relationship is possible, but sometimes it's nice not to be attached. What's the big deal imo?

    1. All fun and games until one of you starts having feelings for the other person.
Then shit will hit the fan.
