QUESTION: I emailed a past employer about a job, and he needs to check on funding and then email me back. But, he asked bout how school was going. Should I answer back, or was he just being polite?
I'd say answer back! A lot of the time employers aren't just looking for someone who will be good at what they're doing, but how much they actually want to /work/ with this person. It can't hurt to let your personality shine through a little bit (unless you're a dick).

ReplyDeleteIt's rude if you don't reply. Since you want to work there, you should send a response, even if he doesn't intend to reply.
ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't you reply? I dont get it....c'mon dude get it together!
ReplyDeleteOf course he was being polite/starting a conversation with you while he checks on the funding, why wouldn't you answer? It's not a hard question.
