QUESTION:
What's the interaction between Waterloo and Laurier like? Do they not associate with each other much, or are students at Waterloo and Laurier close? Do they interact a lot, visit each other, and see each other on the streets often?

  1. It depends on you and where you live. My building is closer to the Laurier campus (past King/Uni) so I see a lot of Laurier kids and live with them too. Meanwhile, when I lived near Lester/Uni I pretty much had no interaction with them.

  2. For some reason there`s so much hate between both schools. UW people diss on Laurier, and vice versa. I wish it wasn`t so and we could be a big happy family!

    1. Jealousy fuelled by things that each school has on the other will always be there. Hence, the stupid "rivalry" or whatever.

    2. The hate is all artificially exaggerated on the internet. We can make jokes about each other or yell obscenities when together in large groups, but it's all in good fun I think. There's no enmity between students when talking one-on-one.

  3. UW directs more hate between faculties than it does towards WLU

  4. Depends where you live. You'll probably interact more with Laurier students if you live closer to their campus. You may meet some in if you're in the college residences at UW which allow some Laurier students to live there if they fit in with the community.
