Whats the best way
to find a job in the US? I am a social science major and am finding it
really difficult. Should I try first for internships and work from
there?
You're pretty boned. Unless you can somehow weasel your way into a TN designated job description (hint: you can't), you have to go in under H1B which is a significant time/money investment for the host company.
The best way would almost certainly be to switch your major to something valued.
ReplyDeleteThis. The only people I've ever known getting jobs in the US were in Silicon Valley doing CS, ECE, SoftEng, CompEng, etc.
DeleteIt's not too late to switch OP.
Why do people expect to get US jobs with no work experience? Even a STEM major can't do that unless they're exceptional.
ReplyDeleteSorry OP but where do you expect to work..? There's not many places that are looking for social science majors.. especially in the US.
ReplyDeleteWell, the US also needs Social Science majors but they've got boats of those already, no need to import from Canada.
