QUESTION: I have an interview coming up next week, what do you guys normally answer to "what is your weakness"? I have so little experience that I'm not sure what my weakness even are. I did a little bit of research online and the "I am a perfectionist" answer seems very cliche and full of lie. Any good suggestions?

  1. I have a hard time saying no, I am a people pleaser, i have a hard time not sucking a dick when presented etc.

  2. No one asks that question unless they're an idiot. That being said, they might ask what areas you want to develop just be honest and tell them what you want to improve and what steps you're taking to improve

    1. I've been asked "what are my weaknesses" many times during Microsoft interviews.. and I hardly could call those interviewers "idiots"

    2. Every engineering/science interview I had after I finished university asked me that question

  3. Kindly ask the interview for his chair, break it in half with your bare hands (or BEAR hands, either works), and calmly sit back down in your own seat, staring into the interviewers eyes, and say:

    "I have no weakness."

  4. Just answer honestly, do some self reflection. Interviewers appreciate an honest answer more than a generic one. Just make sure you have a defined plan for improving this weakness, one which you are actively participating in and have evidence to show for it (a related club, activity etc.). Best of luck!

  5. -Say weakness that you had in past but that you have improved over time.

-For me I once said that I initially struggled with time management but to overcome this issue I have begun to allocate time across tasks I have to get done in the day to ensure I allocate my time well.

-Usually, it's a good idea to talk about weaknesses that are not critical skills for the job you are apply to. It's kinda dumb that I did talk about time management being a weakness in hindsight but usually it's just to see how you deal with your weaknesses rather than what they are...
