QUESTION: This is mostly directed to guys, but girls can answer too (state gender). Do you care about fashion? Where do you get inspiration for outfits? What websites/forums?
reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice has some good tips (though if you're Asian you might want to look elsewhere, or at least be cautious of what they suggest)
Girl: I love guys who put effort into how they look. I really like starched shirts, impeccably crisp pressed-slacks, and a double-breasted blazers. Ties and bow-ties are not necessary, I find it's really hot when guys wear their shirts with the top two buttons left open (Jim Geelen style). It's a huge bonus if you only ever wear t-shirts as an undergarment.

ReplyDeleteMFA is decent, but they basically only do the prep look. Every second post is about OCBDs and khakis.
ReplyDeleteI like suits. I just go to the Harry Rosen website and see whats on there for ideas.
ReplyDeleteGuy: no I have a standard outfit, a pair of comfy jeans + shirt (T-shirt/full sleeve)
ReplyDeleteGuy: My rule of thumb is that if you're in university, you should not wear t-shirts with "clever" slogans or "humourous" depictions
ReplyDeleteFemale: I don't care about fashion. I wear what I like, is comfortable, and it within my budget.
ReplyDeletei find your autonomous attitude towards fashion very appealing.

ReplyDeletePS, I try to get my fashion advice from magazines, clothing houses like Armani tend to have good styles for guys.
