QUESTION:
Lately I have been having some weird thoughts. I am a straight gut who has been with a few partners. However recently I have homosexual thoughts as well. I never obviously act on it, but I feel it to be revolting that i do have these thoughts. not homophobic, just know i cant be gay. Does anyone else feel this too?

  1. That's called being gay.

  2. I used to think I might be like 10% gay in highschool, then I realized that I can only jerk it to girls. So ask yourself this, can you jerk it to guys?

  4. I get something like it. More along the lines of having so much in common with other guys that I wish I could date them. But then that would mean the whole physical part, and I can't do any of that. If there is any close up of a penis that isn't in a vagina in porn, or a close up of the guys face, I don't feel turned on for a while after. I have heard that some people consider sexuality as a scale, not binary, and some people are at different places.

  5. Girl here, having those kinds of thoughts. I don't think of it as revolting though. I think most people are at least a little bi-curious.

  6. Girl here.

For 18 years, I was super sure I was super straight. I would occasionally have thoughts about girls. I would always try to ignore them and stash them away. Despite possessing no adverse attitudes toward LGBT people, the thoughts made me uncomfortable. Ignoring the thoughts were pretty easy since they were far and few in between.

One year, I met a girl during a trip out of town, and I realized that I had a small crush on her. I slowly realized I was bi, then understood that I never noticed my attraction for women because my feelings were eclipsed by my feelings toward guys, and I didn't have a label for the strong, positive emotions which I've felt towards some women.

Now, after one and a half years of realizing this, I have more thoughts about girls than I have about guys, probably because I just let myself be. I've never acted on my thoughts (in the closet), but it feels super nice to be honest with yourself, at least in your own mind.

Just so you know, sexuality isn't an all or nothing deal. Like me, you can be equally attracted to women and men, or experience stronger attraction towards men than women, or vice versa.

I hope you figure things out.

    1. ALL girls are a degree of bi. You're nothing special.

  7. >Driving with friend
    >Accidentally grab his leg instead of gearstick
    >We both laugh and I unzip his pants
    >Park the car while fondling his balls
    >Friend is laughing because he knows it's just a joke
    >Start sucking his dick on this empty parking lot
    >Almost choke on his dick because i'm laughing so hard
    >Friend is also laughing his ass off
    >He starts making train noises while yelling "BROJOB BROJOB! CHOO CHOO"
    >He cums and I swallow it all like some stupid faggot
    >Kiss my friend and call him a faggot while laughing
Gotta love playing pranks on my friends!

  8. You're the only person who defines your orientation. If you don't think you're gay... then you aren't.

On the other hand: repressing yourself isn't healthy. If you do have those feelings and ever DO want to act on them (not saying that you are required to), then consider opening your mind to it sort of like 6 described. A lot of people start out thinking they're 100% straight but later realize that maybe they're a little more queer than they thought.

People can have sexual fantasies about a lot of things that they might not necessarily act on. I know lots of gay guys and lesbians that have fantasized about the opposite sex, despite never actually having slept with someone of the opposite sex.

  10. 1. You are homophobic. That's why you describe the thoughts as "revolting."
    2. It's ok to think thoughts and have fantasies. I'm assuming you must be religious (or from a background where gay=gross). If yes, be patient and kind with yourself about these desires. Sexuality is weird and complicated. Don't be too hard on yourself?
    3. If I were all-powerful I would go around making homophobes gay to teach them some empathy and give them clarity of thought. Maybe you got lucky?

    1. Why do people assume if you find the thought of sucking a dick revolting you are homophobic? Fuck off. I find the idea of fucking a dog revolting too, what does that make me? Go back to tumblr.

Also why do you have to be gay to have clarity of though? Your logic makes no sense. Part of being accepting is accepting that people don't have to have the same views as you. Sure you love gays and being gay, doesn't mean I have to and there's nothing wrong with that. You live your life, I live mine.

    2. 10a he doesn't say he finds the gay thoughts revolting, OP says he finds it revolting that he has the thoughts. He doesn't hate the thought of sucking dicks, he hates that he might kinda like the thought, so yes it is homophobic.

Also the world isn't a bunch of people just living their own lives. It's an interconnected network of people affecting each other's lives. If you hate gay people, and you let that affect your interactions with other people, then that isn't just you living your life, that's you shitting on other people's lives.

    7. Anything that isn't you CAN be revolting without being offensive to that thing. Being gay is not normal. Deal with it.

  11. "never obviously act on it" "revolting"
quite homophobic. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

    1. revolting doesnt equal homophobic. li'm a girl and i would never want to eat a girl out, i think it would be disgusting and wouldn't turn me on in the slightest. i have plenty of lesbian friends and i love them, i am certainly not homophobic please do not go to extremes to generalize people who don't share the same values as you.

    2. i agree with 11a. people are so brainwashed these days that they don't understand that true acceptance is accepting other people regardless of what your views are. accepting someone does not mean you have to automatically adopt their way of thinking or thoughts on things. i can easily maintain my point of view without judging and being welcoming to others from different perspectives because i am secure in myself. i understand that people are different than me and experience the world differently than i do. seeing other perspectives in turn gives us more perspective and might even change mine given the right circumstance, but the bottom line is i have my own mind and just because i agree with gay marriage or gay sex or whatever the fuck you are talking about doesn't mean i have to find the idea appealing as something i would like in my own life.
