QUESTION:
I'm in nanotech and I'm going to be applying for nanotech/engineering jobs. Do I need to have a cover letter when applying?

  1. Some jobs will specifically ask for a cover letter. Otherwise it is at your discretion. If there is a job you really want I would suggest writing a cover letter specifically tailored to that job. Don't make a generic cover letter and include it with every application, an employer will know.
