QUESTION: If going to Toronto from UW, do you recommend greyhound bus or Go train bus?

  1. Depends where I guess. Don't forget that there's a UW carpool group and also the Feds bus that takes you to TO

  2. greyhound - pre-purchase tickets, cannot change boarding time, goes to toronto downtown directly, sometimes has wifi on bus.

go bus - board bus within 2 hours of purchasing of ticket, goes to mississauga (square one), bus more comfy (personal opinion), if u want to go to toronto downtown, you can transfer to another bus at square one.

  3. GO is a lot more professional. Greyhound oversells their tickets.

    1. They haven't done this since 2013. Their old policy was that any ticket on the same day could be used for any bus out of KW, which led to people overcrowding on rush hour buses, meaning a lot of people didn't get on. Their new policy is that they sell at most the number of the seats on the bus, so there isn't any overcrowding.

  4. "GO train bus"

    Lol.

In all seriousness though, it depends on if you're worried about customer service at all. If you think a breakdown is likely or if you want reliable service, take GO. If you don't give a shit and just wanna get to DT Toronto, take Greyhound.

  5. I like the fed bus b/c there are no stops in between so I end up going home quicker. Also the go/greyhound busses take you downtown but if you take fed bus you can go to certain stations (e.g., York Mills, Downsview, etc).
