QUESTION: I am a third year arts student who wants to try taking ECON 201 and 202. But my math skills are not the best, I haven't done any math since grade 11. Can someone who has taken the above courses tell me what level of math I will need?

4th year econ student here. Not much math will be required for those courses. Mainly just standard algebra. Having the knowledge of taking simple derivatives would help your intuition of the theory, but is not required. For 201, I would recommend taking it with Corey Van de Waal if he is teaching. Definitely a bird course.

Basic math skills are needed - grade 12 advanced functions / calculus is enough
