QUESTION: How soon is too soon to go on a date after dumping your girlfriend? I didn't dump her because of this other girl, just happened to meet her the day after the breakup. We broke up Tuesday, would a Friday date be too soon?
I think it depends on how long you were in the relationship for. If it was a long-term relationship then maybe you should wait a little longer and make sure you're actually ready to start over. In the end though, only you can decide if you're ready to move on with someone else.
This is definitely true. It wouldn't be nice for your ex, and even if you don't care about that, it wouldn't be nice for the girl you want to date to find out you're just out of a relationship, assuming she doesn't know yet.
OP here, I went on the date, I decided that since we don't share many friends, and I removed her from facebook, there would not be an easy way for her to find out about one date. I am going to keep it quiet for a bit though.
You came here seeking validation for your shitty actions, but when you didn't get the reassuring responses you wanted you went ahead and did it anyway.
You "just happened to meet her the day after the breakup", yeah, right! It's your choice; you're probably one of those people who don't like to be alone and if you're already going on dates days after breaking up with her you're likely not over her and it's going to affect your r/ship with the new girl. So, what a while. Be friends with the new girl first and take things easy.
Can you atleast wait a little longer...? Imagine how shitty your ex would feel if she saw you bouncing back so quickly?
ReplyDeleteWho the fuck cares how the ex feels? They're an ex for a reason.
DeleteOP, this is something only you can decide if you're ready for.

ReplyDelete^ this
DeleteWho cares if you were dating 2 months. If you were dating two years, that's pretty fast to be jumping into something new.

DeleteNo need for waiting I guarantee your ex is sleeping with mad guys fdb

ReplyDeleteIf you were dating for a while and deleted her off fb to hide your new activities that's just douchey..
