  1. If your prof has high rating or it is at a good time slot - there may be many people who are not registered in your section. Other than that, are all the seats filled? Many people just don't feel like squeezing into the seats in the middle of the rows when it's crowded.

  3. MARTA!!! when i took his class back in first year he started recording lectures because probably 50+ people had no seats. He asked that only the students who are actually registered for his class go to his class.

  5. I had Marta he was an awesome prof. He started recording lectures about half way through the term because people from other sections kept showing up to his lectures and the university threatened to shut down the lecture due to capacity limits (fire hazard). After he started posting videos half of the section stopped showing up.

  6. If there are multiple sections taught by different profs then you will get other sections coming to the better profs section. In a first year stats course, there was a early morning friday class, and a late night friday class. Everyone went to the morning class because they wanted to go out at night. The rule was that everyone enrolled in the correct section got to sit down first. I was lucky and was in that section.
