Trust me, anything but CLAS 104; my mark was in the 50's for that class and I am an 80%+ student. It is not a bird course as every one says it is. There's tons of reading to do, and the material is extremely abstract.
i loved CLAS 104! it was a lot of memorization (which could be a down-side to you), but i think it's better than writing essays, developing presentations and public speaking in ENGL 119.
Probably avoid both of them is what you want to do. This would apply especially if you're in a non-arts program. If you're looking for an relatively simple English course, take ENGL 140R with Vardon. I would avoid CLAS courses as a whole!
if you are in arts or have an aptitude for memorizing a bunch of random shit go for clas 104, otherwise i really suggest you stick to math elective, they tend to be much easier and trivial.

ReplyDeleteI took CLAS104 online, can confirm it was easy and fun. You don't even really need to study for the final.
