Its the same as when a guy asks a girl out. If the guy is not hot, they are really creepy. Everyone knows only good looking people can ask others out and not be creeps.
Agree with 2. While it might not necessarily increase your odds if the person isn't interested in you to begin with, it definitely respectable that you tried to create that opportunity for yourself. Also a huge relief if the feelings are mutual. Honestly it will be a fading after thought how it started if a relationship was meant to go amywhere.
Just go ask. What do you have to lose? 1) Feelings are mutual, he says yes, you go out a couple times and see what happens from there 2) Feelings are not mutual, but he is single and bored, he says yes, you go out a couple times and see what happens from there 3) Feelings are not mutual, he says no, you don't go on a date, but now you know you it won't happen, and you had the confidence to ask. 4) Feelings are not mutual, he laughs in your face, you don't go on a date, but now you know he is a dick and you dodged a bullet, and that you had the confidence to ask.
Just go do it OP, break stereotypes! I think all guys would appreciate it if girls started taking their fair share of date-asking.
its okay if you're really cute. kinda creepy and weird if you aren't cute.
