Wow I spend 25. I don't eat breakfast or eat at school except for the occasional drink. I'm not sure how else to explain the difference but I didn't know I was spending that little compared to others. May I ask what you guys are buying?
1 here, similar to 2. I eat for taste, not price. If there is a $20 steak at the store and I want a steak, I will buy it. I also eat out a lot because I am on campus all day, usually subway, harveys, pita pit/factory(the one in the plaza), or mikeys.
Between $25-$60 a week, including impulse buying. Usually it's somewhere around $35 Sometimes only $20, for essential stuff, and I eat the back-up storage of food.
I'm not sure if I should count the staples my parents have brought me (frozen fish, meat, rice, milk), but I'd say around $25/week. Yeah, it sounds pretty insane, but I mainly buy vegetables and snacks.
You can get a load of veggies at the Chinese supermarket in Kitchener, and I normally get fruit/snacks at Food Basics.
co-op: 50-60
ReplyDeleteschool: 80-100
I don't pack lunches to school

ReplyDelete50 / week
ReplyDeletevery doable if you're a pretty small person who doesn't eat out much

ReplyDeleteAbout 60$ a week.
ReplyDelete50 on just regular stuff I cook on my own, and 10$ for a meal out once a week to treat myself.
A $10 meal is not a treat in any sense...
DeleteIf you plan well, $50 can make some great meals, so $10 for eating out really is a treat because you don't have to make it or clean up.
DeleteI have wanted to start cooking more, but I'm just too lazy
