QUESTION: What physical attributes do you find off-putting and what ones are you drawn to (weird or common)?

  1. I'm attracted to men. I like full lips and dark features (brown/black hair and eyes). I am put off by guys on the extreme side of sizes (super skinny or super large).

  2. I concur with one, although I don't notice lips to be honest. Dark eyes on a guy though is the biggest turn on. I'm not sure why, maybe because mine are blueish, but really dark brown eyes are so sexy!

  3. Like 1, I am put off by guys who are super skinny or super large. Features that I like? Some features look great on certain people, and terrible on others. In general, taller than 5'2" is always good.

  4. Baby-face features are a turn off for me, for some weird reason I'm repelled by muscular guys, or men who are really clean-cut.

I'm drawn to men who have genuine smiles and an open expression, I like lean/skinny guys, freckles, and a bit of scruff never hurts.

  5. I love girls with freckles.

  6. Widely set eyes are off-putting, as are thick lips. I like distinctive faces (e.g. Adrien Brody) and strong bone structure.

  7. I am drawn to a confident smile, long hair, and light eyes.

I am put off by weight. Basically anything past an hourglass figure.

  8. I am the only one in my friend group who likes guys with red hair. (Im a girl)

  9. I hate when girls wear earrings. I realize that they're more for the girls than they are for guys, I just hate the look. I also generally dislike short hair on girls.

Some people might consider it weird that I strongly consider genetics and what our children would look like. It kind of rules out really short girls. I also like the genetic features of my family (fair hair, blue/green eyes) and I think I'd like my kids to look the same, so I would be somewhat reluctant to marry a non-white woman. I think there's something wrong with me cause I sound like a white supremacist.

    1. Nothing wrong with you, I feel the same way and I am a female. If you say anything that doesn't include all races you're automatically a racist to so many people these days. Nothing wrong with wanting what's like you.

  10. In men, I can't resist emotive eyes, a bit of facial hair(somewhere between scruff and a full-on beard & stache, if that makes sense) and slightly imperfect teeth.

I generally love men's backs and shoulders. All men have sexy backs and shoulders.

  11. I love man-fur (hairy chest, full beard.).
I get turned off by mustaches, really pale hair and pale eyes (they creep me out, which is weird, because I'm very pale myself, skin-wise. :-O)

  12. I love lanky guys and, if they have glasses, that's a huge plus. Really muscular guys, on the other hand, aren't horribly attractive to me.

  13. - Don't care about race too much, but being white I am attracted to white girls more, but I have dated muslim girls and asian girls. Haven't dated Indian or black yet, but that's not from a lack of trying.
    - Not a fan of short hair on girls, but sometimes it can look really good.
    - Small-medium breasts are my favourite, like enough to fit in your hand. Smaller and there isn't much to play with, bigger and they get in the way.
    - Height is flexible with me, as long as she isn't way taller, then its more of a compatibility issue than anything else. I'm 5'11" so this doesn't happen often.
    - Don't like too big or too skinny, just be comfortable in your natural weight, and be healthy.
    - Nose should be small to medium for soft facial features (like cheek bones), or medium-large for hard facial features but this is correlated most of the time.
    - I am a sucker for large eyes (eye lids open far, and iris/pupil are large)
    - No bush, maybe a well trimmed lawn or a pattern, but shouldn't be prickly or get in my mouth
    - I like natural blonde hair, but mostly because it is a recessive gene, and blondes and redheads are becoming rare.
    - Meeting all of these doesn't guarantee I will find her beautiful or hot, she needs to look good in her features, even if they don't fit to my list.

    - Confidence shows up in posture. If you walk like you own the place, I will be attracted to you.
    - Must be educated, hopefully going into a Masters, but at least an Undergraduate Degree

Most of all, be yourself. Personality is a huge aspect of who you are. I won't date anyone I wouldn't be comfortable introducing to my family. This one girl I dated was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen, except I didn't want to introduce her to my family. She dropped out of Laurier, and then College, loved to drink and do drugs, and just wasn't someone I wanted my parents to meet. We were only together for the sex, and the relationship didn't last long with co-op. This other girl I dated didn't fit into all the categories, but she was still beautiful, and had an amazing personality. She even met my parents before we were even officially dating (we were going on a trip and I didn't want to have to pay for 2 weeks of parking so my parents drove us). Co-op made it tough, but we pushed through. What ended it was her student visa expiring and traditional Muslim parents who didn't know about me not letting her date a white guy.

    1. what is it with all the posts on dating muslim girls recently?

    2. Well I only dated the one muslim girl, and she was amazing, maybe its a culture thing. Maybe they are brought up to be kind to everyone no matter what, respect others, and just be overall better people. I can't speak for all Muslim girls, but the one I dated was the kindest person I have ever met.

Or it might be a forbidden fruit sort of thing. Us white guys think we can't date them, so we try harder, and brag when we start dating a Muslim girl.

    3. @14/14b muslims live all over the world. It would probably be more accurate to characterize this girl as being from a certain country as opposed to belonging to a certain religion.
I've found brown muslims to be very different from arab muslims and even asian muslims

  14. In men: I like kind eyes, strong arms, round ass, and a hairy chest (somewhere perfectly between bare and gorilla). I'm attracted to black and Caucasian men. I can find men of other ethnicities very attractive, I'm just not sexually attracted to them.

In women: I like kind eyes, breasts similar in size and shape to mine ("slightly" narcissistic...), and I really like some tattoos on a woman. I am attracted to Caucasian and latina women. I can find women of other ethnicities very attractive, I'm just not sexually attracted to them.

In both genders: I dislike crooked and/or stained teeth, "fake" looking face, and greasy hair (too much product counts).

Weight for men has never bothered me (I've had stick-skinny to borderline obese) but for women I prefer some meat on her bones while not "fat". I'm fairly lenient with what I deem fat.

  15. I am attracted to men. I most often find myself attracted to white men, though I have dated a brown (Egyptian) guy and an Asian (Japanese) guy, so I do find many races attractive. I like it when guys have dark brown hair and blue/green eyes. Stubble is fantastic as long as it isn't patchy. Chest hair is fine either way, but I'd rather the guy didn't wax his chest. I'd prefer hair in the nether regions. Soft lips are a huge plus, and teeth should be at least close to white and semi-straight. Dimples are fantastic. Massively bad acne is a turn off, but the occasional zit happens to everybody and isn't a bad thing. Taller than me is a plus, but I'm only 5'2, so it's not exactly difficult. I'm not into massively muscular guys or really skinny guys, I'd rather someone who looks natural with a bit of weight on the tummy (a little chubby is just more to cuddle). I want a guy who smells good, keeps clean, and doesn't reek of weed, though I don't mind cigarettes.

    1. Egyptians aren't brown.

      Delete
    2. If you look Indian or Middle Eastern, you're brown. Many Egyptians look this way. It would be like a Russian saying "I'm not white, I'm a Slav." One's a subset of the other. As an aside, I did once meet an Italian (a very white looking one) claim that being Italian was somehow different from being white. I guess everyone wants to feel special.

    3. If I had to classify, I'd say Middle Easterners are more white than brown. Look at their gums and hairlines and other features other than having tan skin... It's a clear difference.

  16. Turned off by really blonde hair, muscles, and beards, though scruff is ok. Love large, strong hands. No opinion on body hair - whatever's natural is fine. Crinkly, kind eyes (eg. Joseph Gordon-Levtitt) make my knees weak.

    1. I've been told I look exactly like JGL, if I see someone whose knees stop working when they see me, I will know it is you.

    2. 17a, If you really looked like JGL, then there would be girls with buckling knees everywhere you went.

    3. 17 @ 17a hi ;)

But I'm sure you already have plenty of ladies then lol

  17. I am an Asian girl and I'm mostly attracted to Asian guys. But I find blonde guys super cute and attractive...
Height is first thing I see on a guy. 180cm+ would be ideal but anything above 170cm is good.
I am also attracted to guys who wear black framed glasses... Not sure why.
A little bit of muscle on the arms and chest would be nice, but being bulky is a turn off.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Skinny legs on guys are a huge turn off. A strong back/shoulder area is a turn on.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I've found that I love lanky/lean men with broad shoulders, scruff and glasses. This type never fails me. I also am attracted to men who have expressive features and shorter hair.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I never thought I was attracted to any specific type of guy but my last three boyfriends have all been fairly recent immigrants from Europe with a stocky boxing or martial arts build and accents I can't quite pin down.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I find I'm into slightly "feminine" guys (clean-shaven, not too muscled, nice eyebrows, above-average effort put into appearance), but also slightly more "masculine" girls (short hair, tall, lanky, defined arms).

    ReplyDelete
  22. Most guys will always look better with short hair, at least to me. Just a simple, low-maintenance look.

Hair makes such a big difference to a man's appearance. For me, it's probably the biggest deciding factor when it comes to attractiveness. I've suddenly found myself so attracted to many guys I didn't find attractive before, just because they got a haircut.
