QUESTION: What are the best workouts you can do at home? I'm worried for when I graduate my budget wont be able to afford a gym membership and I don't want to get out of shape. I am female.

  2. Bulgarian split squats, regular body-weight squats, go running, push-ups, buy a pull-up bar, tonnes of core exercises require no equipment, single-leg calf raises, lunges, go biking, volunteer to cut wood for someone, burpees, buy a sandbag and throw that around, get a job that requires some physical labour, you can probably find pretty cheap dumbbells at a yard sale or on kijiji, dig a hole up to your shoulders in your yard then fill it back up and do that a few times per week, find a hill and run up and down that til you can't anymore, join a sports team, etc. etc. Just move around til you're tired every day and you'll be fine. And it goes without saying that a good diet is also paramount.

  3. download the PumpUp app, and you can create workouts there based on what equipment is available to you (or if you don't have any equipment) -- it's pretty cool, you should check it out.

  5. I dont see what being female has to do with anything, but check out 'convict conditioning', pretty much lists some exercises (pushups, handstand push ups, squats, pull ups, and bridges) and gives you Progressions to work to harder versions of the workouts (1 arm pushups, 1 arm Pull ups) etc

  9. I really like this book of body weight exercises (with some suggested 10-week programs) called "You Are Your Own Gym".

  10. Pilates and yoga exercises can be done pretty much anywhere there is some floor space. Maybe you can find a video you like.

If you can afford to go to a pool, swimming is a good all-around exercise.
