QUESTION: I had "oustanding" for my first 2 co-op terms. Last term I got "very good". I didn't slack off, I just had a supervisor who looked at the grading system differently. How would I explain that "very good" during an interview?
I had similar coop ratings, and I didn't get a single question about it. It was briefly mentioned on occasion, but it seems to be understood that not all employers area very good or see the system in the same way.
Say your supervisor took it in the butt from you.
ReplyDeleteYou don't, unless they ask. And if they ask, just answer honestly- your employer looked at the grading system differently.
ReplyDeleteIt's not rocket-science, I know people who got good jobs with a satisfactory as their last evaluation. You have nothing to worry about.
It's not that big of a deal lol..
ReplyDelete+1, OP is butthurt cause now he doesn't get to be perfect.
DeleteWhat if your first supervisors looked at it as a way to make it easier for you to get a job in the future and not have you come back?
ReplyDeleteFuture Employer: "You got a very good? WHAT?! What did you possibly to do be less than perfection. How did you leave with yourself after that?"...
ReplyDeleteThen you can tell him/her about your ability to survive adversity and some bs about personal growth and you will be hired. Problem solved :) (Y).
