QUESTION: I got an "Outstanding" evaluation for all 4 of my previous co-ops (all at different locations). Is this relatively common, or will it make me stick out compared to other applicants?
I am just wondering because I always see people post that "Excellent" is average, so I imagine "Outstanding" isn't too far from average either.
Looking for genuine answers because I'm wondering if I have better hopes at getting a really interesting co-op this term. I think I have poor interview skills because I am shy, and so I was hoping I might be able to emphasize these evaluations to prove that I am still a hard/effective worker despite being shy in an interview scenario.
I am in Engineering, if that makes any difference. Thanks for the comments.
I'm in Eng. Got outstanding for all 6 terms (now in 4a). IMO it was never brought up in interviews, but it was probably a factor in getting them in the first place. So no you are not a special bird, yay your previous jobs'boss liked you.
I see outstanding about 15- 25% of the time, this will make you stand out.
ReplyDeleteI see outstanding about 50% of the time. It's average and it will not make you stand out.
ReplyDeletemust be some pathetic faculty with low standards
