QUESTION: If my intention is to opt out of the Feds Health Plan (because I'm covered under other insurance) and I opted out in first year, do I have to opt out this year and every year too or did opting out in first year opt me out permanently?

  1. you must do it every year.

  2. Also bring proof of coverage by another plan like the name of the provided and the insurance policy number and anything else you might think pertinent. When I tried to cancel they refused to remove me from the university health care plan until I came back and provided them with proof of other coverage. I thought that was pretty shystie in case someone just wanted to save a few bucks and rely on OHIP.
