I just finished CS. I was one of those kids who "didn't fit in". I didn't make many friend in CS and when people ask what program I'm in they get surprised. That being said... yeah, on general, the kids have sociopathic tendencies.
What made it so surprising to them that you were in CS? The fact that you were empathetic?
