I took those two + databases and did alright. Algorithms wasn't so bad because the prof did a great job teaching it (I had Doug Stinson). The assignments and exams were straightforward if you understood the lecture material.
I found OS difficult because of how time consuming the course is. The lecture material is fairly straightforward but the assignments are much more challenging. It's important to find a good group and start the assignments early.
I'm planning on taking OS, Algorithms, Databases and 365 (Theory of Computing Advanced), plus one other course in my next term. Pretty sure you can handle 2 CS courses.
Also, OS is single person work now, so you can do it on your own time.
Sounds like 2A software eng
ReplyDeleteYou mean 3A, but yup, it's that plus 3 other courses. Yay!
DeleteOh yeah, I was mistaken. 2A is the term where you take a first year chem course and a stats course for some reason.
DeleteLook on the bright side, at least 349 is fun/interesting!
@1b: I'm not so sure about courses people find "fun" anymore...
DeleteJust finished 2B and barely got through combo.
Most people do that + another CS course.
ReplyDeletepeople as in CS students before anyone says something about that..
