I am not so sure there is a quick and easy way out of a streak of bad luck, I somethings am on a two week losing streak and then a week or two winning streak and it almost feels like it just happens but I suppose the one way to try and get out of it is to put the pedal to the metal and just try harder and do more things.
Sort of like when you are stuck in the snow, you sometimes have to put the pedal to the floor and burn your way out of it.
Having a sense of humor works too, it's so bad it's comical, what else can go wrong? when all hell is breaking loose in my workplace there are days when you can do one of two things, cry or grab the bull by the horns and gets much done as possible and save as much of the day as you can, at the end of the day what happens happens you can't always change is so at times stand back and smile and have a chuckle, like can this possibly get any worse? :)
I just cry for an hour or two and sulk for maybe 1 more. After that, I'll just get really tired and nap for maybe 4-5 hours and wake up to realize how dumb I was slumping over something I can't do anything about and wasting so much time before I proceed to freak out and get everything done before returning to my normal self.
There's actually no such thing as luck. It's all about how hard you work/how smart you network for opportunities.

Delete@1b: Luck is completely separate from determinism; stop trying to sound smart.

Control what you can, but realize there are things that may happen regardless. Adapt, learn, don't give up. The funk won't last.
