The Beer Store accepts, and gives either a 5, 10 or sometimes 20 cent refund for all bottles which contained alcohol. The LCBO doesnt do the whole refund thing, as its redundant for both stores, which are usually located close to eachother, to both do the deposit/refund process.
You can bring vodka bottles, rum bottles, wine bottles, whiskey bottles, gin bottles, cooler bottles, palm bay cans, etc etc etc to The Beer Store. (including beer bottles not sold at the beer store, such as Gold Crown bottles)
They won't take Jones soda or any other soft drink bottles.
If you don't care about the refund, you can also just recycle them with other glass or plastic containers.
At the beer store, you can get your deposits back. Or you can just recycle them in the blue bin.
ReplyDelete+1 on The Beer Store. My Dad and I make recycling runs over there when he has a few cases.
DeleteDo they accept whiskey/rum/wine bottles though? They're all fairly large. I just don't drink beer though.
ReplyDeleteYup, any and all alcohol bottles.

I've gotten them to take non alcoholic bottles too lol... Though when I go I'm bringing back 300+ bottles so they don't notice
DeleteAnd THAT'S how you beat the system, folks.
