QUESTION: ...Okay this sucks. I'm an international student, planning to come to Canada for my last uni term sometime late August/early September. My place won't be available until September 5th, not allowed to move in before that. Conference Centre at UW closes at August 28th... And I have an OWeek position on top of that. What should I do? Is there any place I can stay from something like 28 Aug until Sept 5 without having to pay a shitload of money for a hotel?

  1. Oweek sucks, you might as well not go

  2. If you know anyone here you can see if you can crash on their couch and put your stuff in their basement/somewhere in their apartment.

Or you could talk to someone the conference center and see if they can help at all.

  4. TBH I would forget the o-week stuff because a hotel will be expensive for that week. Also, the CC closes on August 28 because those rooms are used for incoming frosh when they move in starting Aug 30/31

it's $95 a night but discounted if you stay more than 7 nights and/or are a UW student apparently.
