QUESTION: I need an interesting course to fulfill my BA breadth requirements in Fine, Performing, and Communication Arts... any suggestions?

  1. I'm in English so I took a Shakespeare course that was crosslisted with Drama so that I could fulfill my breadth requirements. It's really easy to find sneaky crosslisted courses if you're not particularly interested in any of the regular offerings - not sure if that's your situation, though.

  2. SPCOM 223 (Public Speaking) is a good one to take.

  3. MUSIC 270 if you know a little bit of music.

  4. FINE 251 is a film history course. It's pretty easy. You read some textbook passages and watch a bunch of movies.

  5. CS minor... really helpful in the real world too

  6. Any of the FINE studio courses are guaranteed to be enjoyable, you should take something that's new to you! However, be warned that they fill up fast as students majoring/minoring in there are top priority and the general max class size is under 30 for safety reasons. Good luck! :)
