QUESTION: Is it useful to go to those co-op job information seminars? What do the companies talk about during these seminars?

  1. Depends on the company. Some of them are very useful, and offer information about the positions that are available, compensation, interview tips. They often answer frequently asked questions like how does housing work, transportation etc.

However in other cases (Google this term...) are pretty disappointing, and don't offer much value. A lot of people just go to get free shit (I'm looking at you Engineers) and free food.

If it's a company you're genuinely interested in working for, then go to it.
