QUESTION: Would it be weird to message/befriend someone on facebook you really want to get to know because you missed the opportunity to actually approach him in person? Given the chance I would actually pluck up the courage to talk to him but I never see him on campus now. P.S. I found him by chance on facebook because we apparently have mutual friends...

    1. OP here: Unfortunately both of the guys that are mutual friends have both asked me out/shown interest in me(I know what are the chances) but I didn't exactly reciprocate, so it would be awkward to ask them to introduce me but yeah I guess you guys are right it would be weird

  2. As in, you haven't talked to him in the past? I never accept friend requests from people I've never spoken to, personally. Maybe others are different.

  4. Go ahead, do it. As a guy, I simply avoid doing this because I may come off as a creep (I'm average looking, not overly handsome).

  5. Hey OP, I did this in high school because I really wanted to get to know a girl.

Sure, it was pretty awkward, but we dated for a bit and we're actually still friends, like 4 years later. I think his reaction will really depend on the type of guy he is. Luckily this girl I know is very chill and open to meeting new people.

I'd say give it a try. Most guys will be open to talking to a girl if she's attractive (Sorry, seems shallow but guys are simple people), so this is at least a way of finding out if he might be interested. What's to lose?

  7. As a girl, I accept friend requests from any guy I've met at least once, unless they came off as creepy when I did meet them.

Seeing as you've already met before, I would say go for it :)

    1. To add to this, it also depends on context. I've had friend requests from people I've seen around class or work etc, but I haven't exactly spoken to. I accept these as well & sometimes these people turn into good friends over time!

  9. Message him and say you want his dick. If you're hot, he probably won't sue you for sexual harassment and you might have babies together one day :).
