QUESTION: I'm looking for some scientific books to read over the summer, any recommendations? I enjoy anything to do with evolution, genetics, zoology, physiology or microbiology.

  1. well The Selfish Gene is an obvious recommendation.
Many of Dawkins' books on evolution are good.
Greatest Show on Earth was fantastic.

  2. Genome: the Autobiography of a Species in 23 Chapters by Matt Ridley (about genomics) was pretty interesting.

    Also one I really enjoyed:
The Brain that Changes Itself by Norman Doidge, on neuroplasticity.

  3. The Third Chimpanzee by Jared Diamond
