lol Math is harder and it has a higher dean's list requirement. If you see the list of people graduating, the grad with distinction is a decently sized list, and grad with dean's list is select few. Thats the way it should be.
sorry by 80+ is a joke, I am at that and i am not even gifted
In Science it's only 80%. On our Dean's Honours certificate thing it says "Less than 25% of science students achieve this.." or something like that. Every time I see mine, I just think about how easy it is if approximately 1 out every 4 students can get on it. I think they should raise it to at least 85%. Then I would at least feel a little accomplished for getting it.
They adjust the % you need to show what percent of students get on the list. Courses get easier because students are whiny bitches who expect to pay for their marks, and are forced to raise the requirement so only the best students make it on the list.
In Engineering you need to have your average minus your rank greater or equal to 80. That's even harder
ReplyDeleteIn math it's 87. You're dreaming.
ReplyDeleteExactly. QQ OP.
DeleteIt's also 83% for Arts: http://ugradcalendar.uwaterloo.ca/page/ARTS-Deans-Honours-List
ReplyDeleteI think arts is also 83...
