QUESTION: Does anyone know how strict the faculty of arts is with the dean's list
requirement of 83%? I entered finals this semester with a cumulative
average of around 82.5%. Would they round up or is it no dean's list for
me?
Well I did it because I PRIORITIZED it. I worked hard in my uni career and I screwed up a term or 2 but overall I worked very hard, and I want that recognised. Aint nothing wrong with that
At this moment I am working at a place that is completely in line with my field (actsci) and I couldn't be happier

OP here. Dean's list doesn't mean much to me I was just curious. I have one semester when I suffered an injury that is dragging down my average, but I'm off to professional school in the fall so it doesn't matter.
why are you so sensitive? what does it change if you'd personally want to know as well if you were in that situation? aren't you in for a surprise if i told you i'd say the same thing!?
It's okay, 9.d, you're probably just bum hurt that he's going to have a salary with 6 figures, while the only bonuses you'll bee getting is commission based from working at The Source
You're probably out. Only the best students deserve to go on the dean's list (as it should be).
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly do you get for graduating on the dean's list?
ReplyDeletea dick in your ass otw out
DeleteAbsolutely nothing. Nobody gives two shits about it.
ReplyDeleteShit that sucks, same here I graduated math with 79.6% and those bastards didn't put me in dean's list.
ReplyDeleteYou know what I did? Delayed my damn graduation and took a birdy and killed it
Wow. Lol. You prioritize all the wrong things in life

You want that recognized? Tough luck. Nobody gives a shit but your parents.
DeleteLook its a personal thing, my employr saw that my performance on my good terms and exams was good enough so he gave me an opportunity at entry level.
DeleteBut this was a personal goal.
Umm Dean's List in Math is 87% : /

ReplyDeletewho the fuck cares about this shit honestly
ReplyDeletei guess you should care when you have kids one day and you want to brag about something at the local knitting club
Why are you being so rude? OP was just asking. I'd personally want to know as well if I was in that situation

DeleteTIL /r/uwaterloo is much more informative than omguw. Nicer as well.
ReplyDeleteSomething about completely anonymity makes people assholes. Either that or there's an overrepresentation of neckbeard assholes on omguw.
lol, if you meet 1 asshole, that person's an asshole
Deletebut if everyone's an asshole, then you're just too sensitive
Dude chill your only in arts. McDonald's does not care about the dean's list
ReplyDeleteDude, there are other opportunities for arts students other than McDonald's. I hear Wendy's is hiring too.
DeleteHAHAHAHAHA @9a.
DeleteOP here, 9 & 9.a you'll have to speak up, I can't hear you over my law school acceptances.
DeleteShots fired.
9.c aw another 5-6 years and 100k down the drain to become a professional, that's cute
Delete3 years and 60k but who's counting?

ReplyDeleteNot 9 or 9a, but I guess I'll have to settle with making (just barely under) 6 figures right after undergrad.
DeleteTough life I know
