QUESTION: My ex boyfriend's mom controlled his life and made him stop dating me
and he thinks it was justified. Was it? Was she crossing the line? She
had only met me once and it was on pleasant terms.
Whether she actually convinced him or whether he's using it as an excuse, I think things worked out for the best. If your partner is easily controlled by their parents as an adult, it'll only get much worse with time. If just used it as an excuse, he's not remotely ready for an adult relationship.
I've been in a very similar situation. She didn't exactly make him stop dating me, but she was very controlling and over a course of a couple months, made him hate me and treat me like crap. She was also very involved in our personal (even sex) life, and it was getting too much for me to handle so I ended things, and honestly it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I strongly agree with 3. Run, and run VERY far away. You're better off without a mama's boy. While it's nice when a guy has a good relationship with his mom, it's awful when he's overly attached and can't make grown up decisions on his own.
why did she make him stop dating you?

ReplyDeleteTrust me, run away from the hardcore mama's boys and their creepy overly attached mothers who can't let go of them.
ReplyDeleteWell if you two stayed together you will either eventually break up later on or get married. Would you want her to be your mother in law?

He probably just wanted to break up with you but didn't wanna man up and tell you that he didn't like you, so he came up with an excuse
