QUESTION: If you work at the registrars office, do you have access to all student transcripts?

  1. I'm sure other departments on campus have access to this too but I would think the Registrar's Office has access to student transcripts/grades

  2. I would imagine so. When you ask for your transcript, you go to the Registrar's Office, right?

  3. If so changes some of my marks. It'd be appreciated

  4. Depends on the role of the person working there, but in general, yes.

  5. Yes my roommate used to work as one of the front desk people there and she had access to everyone's transcripts. She told me she would just go and look up the ones of people she knew because she was curious. Not right imo but whatever

    1. She signed documents saying she wouldn't and a huge breach of privacy.

    2. People hand in bursary applications plan modifications etc all the time with their cumulative average on the front page staring you in the face.

Although this is a bit different.

    3. I knew a guy who did the same thing. He told us he knew all of our grades. I thought he was an asshole in general so this didn't really change my perception of him.

  6. I'm pretty sure all staff that have access to quest can view transcripts. Adjusting marks is only available for those with that role though.
