QUESTION: Need some advice! How do you get to know a guy and approach him but he's older than you and you don't have any classes with him but you're on a first name base with him? :/

  1. if you are on a first name basis with him, then approaching should be no problem.
    "hey [name]! how's it going?"

  4. Same way you'd approach anyone you're on a first name basis with. I've never understood why some people are hesitant to branch out from their classmates. None of my friends are in my classes. Very few are even in my faculty.

As for age, well, it likely isn't too big a difference if he's still at university. If he's a grad student or just older than the typical undergrad, it can still be fine, don't worry about it. He might be open to younger folks but just feel a bit awkward doing so himself.
