QUESTION: Girls, best places to get waxed in Waterloo that aren't too expensive? Went to Skin Indulgence Studio last time but I didn't like my experience there, the woman was overly fake and tried so hard to sell herself and pimp her skills.

  1. I would suggest Bare Essentials Waxing. It might seem kind of sketchy because its in a lady's basement, but she knows what she is doing and is very fast. Plus the prices are relatively cheaper.

    2. It's not sketchy at all - she's really professional and prices are very reasonable!

    3. I use to go to laurie at bare essentials, she was great but i found her to be a little rough probably cause she goes super quick! Like the wax would tear my skin a little sometimes, but it could also be of my sensitive skin?

    4. I use to love Bare Essentials, but I've found Laurie a lot rougher recently, always rushing, and she sometimes talks bad about her clients - sorta makes me uncomfortable. I still go cause she's cheap, though, so I guess it doesn't matter how rude she is.

  2. I go to a girl out of her house who was trained at Ginas. She is amazing...so I assume others from or at Ginas would be too.

(she lives out of the city, otherwise I would share her info!)

  3. The Sugar Cube! It's not waxing, it's sugaring, which is a little different but I find the results a billion times better. It lasts longer, hair thins out etc... It's a bit more expensive, but definitely worth it. Plus the ladies are lovely.

    2. can't speak for the sugar cube, but i "sugar" at home myself and i love it 100 times more than waxing. its actually less painful that waxing too.

im not sure why people go to salons to get this stuff done, it's unbelievable easy to do yourself with a 12$ box of "sugar" from walmart.

  6. Sugar Cube is definitely my recommendation as well. It's supposedly less painful than waxing and an all around nicer experience. I've always been happy with my experiences there - a bit expensive, mind you, but I think it's worth it.
