QUESTION: Has anyone had experience with buying Invisalign braces over the student health care network? My bottom teeth are becoming more and more crooked and it's also painful. I don't have much money and I don't know what to do :(

  1. "In the Waterloo Region, the cost of Invisalign treatment ranges from $3,500 to $7,000, with an average at about $5,500."

    this isnt covered by insurance.

    1. Ya, and the school dental plan only covers 80% of the cost of specific dental procedures (with an extra 20-30% from approved dental places on certain procedures), up to a yearly maximum of ~$700. Plus I'm not even sure regular braces would even be covered by the school, plan, let alone invisalign.

  2. have you checked if you have wisdom teeth coming out? that could be pushing your teeth out of alignment. If so, you would just need to get them removed.

  3. OP here. I have had my wisdom teeth removed already. Since it's only my bottom teeth I was thinking of getting regular braces but just for the bottom? Any idea how much that would cost?

    1. I don't think you could do that - you need treatment on both upper and lower teeth so that you can still bite.
