I was working. I had a really awesome career that I was moving up in, and it was really hard to leave it to go back to school. But I knew in the long-run, school would help further my career.
And clearly a break doesn't make it harder to get into University as I got in with early admissions. Don't listen to the lies your guidance counselor tells you.

@10: so what?? Not everyone has to take the "same" direct path most people take.
