My secret is to read the abstract, intro, and discussion. I don't even bother with the methods and results because usually it doesn't make much sense to me.
omg me too. im in grad school and i dont freaking understand what the hell 90% of these papers are saying!!! ive found it helps to dig down to the FIRST papers ever written on the topic and build up. it takes forever, but if you're in research that's the only way to do it unfortunately (unless you're a genius.. which sadly im not)
Yes. It gets better the more you read and understand about your research. I'm finishing my masters at the end of summer but I've felt this way a lot throughout my degree. As mentioned above, read abstract, intro, and discussion first. Then move onto to the other stuff if you are interested in it. Good luck and keep reading! <3
