Thank you so much for this link. In all seriousness, I just learned a lot about myself that I was always confused about and probably would have never realized otherwise.
or could it be that perhaps as science in various fields has progressed (especially the less visibly obvious ones to do with the mind/cognition), we've been able to clearly outline and understand certain conditions?
@5a- asexuals can have a sex drive without sexual attraction to a gender, person, etc. Your sex drive and sexual attraction are two different things, so yes, it is possible to think of nothing.
I definitely understand you and 4, with the rise of Tumblr and SJW's and the "I am a pandemisexual trans dragon, down with the cisscum!" adjective syndrome, but when it comes to reasonable _sexuality it logically must exist. If you can be attracted to the same sex, the opposite sex, or both, surely you can be attracted to neither.
@6 (and @4)- As an asexual person, I find your comment insulting. I am sure you identify in some way with a sexual orientation (whether straight, gay, bi, etc.). For us it is no different. Before you pass judgment, I suggest you education yourself on the issue: http://www.asexuality.org/home/@
^Evolution doesn't necessitate that all traits have to be giving an advantage. This is true even from species that don't keep less-than-optimal individuals alive and reproducing like we do. Its why we're so damn populous and also why some people who would be dead in 20min in the wild are doing just fine.
I am sorry. I guess it's only natural to want to define the way we feel and think. It was not meant as an insult to those who identify with asexuality. I can't say I identify with any particular sexual orientation.
@6c, there is something there. Even if its weak, there is something there. Like a kid who became a vegetarian because her mom could only microwave dollarmart chicken nuggets growing up, only to eat at a fine restaurant one day and taste real meat, you will find someone who gets you off.
6f- WOW. I don't even know how to respond to this. Asexuality is a legitimate sexual orientation, albeit very misunderstood. Would you say the same thing to someone who is gay? That they just haven't met the right opposite-sex partner? I realize that it can be hard to understand how someone can be asexual or identify as asexual, and I am sorry that you are unable to comprehend it. However, I think we owe each other the mutual respect to support other people's orientations.
Sexual orientation means orientation of sex. Asexual is not an orientation, by definition, because it has nothing to do with sex. Like asking an atheist if they're protestant or catholic. If you don't have normal sexual functioning, you're probably just a female. Because females don't have sex drives.
Everyone is just caught up in the game of identity. When you label yourself, function in the identity, waste all your energy defending it and then die asking yourself: Who am I?
Give it up people. Reality doesn't care what you're labelled. It's all a silly human-made game... you're over-complicating things.
8.a/b that is the stupidest fucking thing i ever heard they ARE jewish, jewish is a RELIGION, im pretty sure they want to be called jewish. fucking hipster retards trying to call everything a label, get over yourselves

DeleteGlad you enjoyed it. The dude in the article is a friend of mine... I took that picture of him in front of my house XD
Deleteyes
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there are, I have yet to meet any guys whose swing (or lack thereof) is that way
ReplyDeleteEver since Wikipedia became more mainstream everyone has a goddamn condition.
ReplyDeleteMan you are so right, this is some bs I just don't into.
Deleteor could it be that perhaps as science in various fields has progressed (especially the less visibly obvious ones to do with the mind/cognition), we've been able to clearly outline and understand certain conditions?
DeleteMany aces say they think of nothing when they masturbate, while a handful indicated that certain fetishes, like BDSM, come to mind.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many of these "aces" aren't just masturbating a bit too much
How the fuck do you think of nothing? At the very least, I'd think about OP's mom.

Delete@7a, you're not funny. Such a tasteless joke in a mature conversation.
DeleteJesus christ 7a, you're clueless. Just because you can't get laid doesn't mean women don't have sex drives.
