You should email the other schools and let them know that you've received an early offer from XXX school, and that you'd like to know if they are planning to make you an offer before the fast approaching acceptance deadline of your early offer.
That way the other schools know you're good enough that other schools are trying to grab you early, and then they'll make you a better offer (more funding, etc.) :) Congrats OP!
Of 3 applications to Ontario universities last year for essentially the same program I heard mid-february, mid-march and may. They probably won't reject you until they have heard back from their top picks - my last one was a rejection.
Yeah for me... right now is early offers/interview rounds. Late march-early April is when I'm expecting mine according to the university websites. But the range is pretty much March-May.
You can probably look it up on the university websites.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of the grad program I want to get into, I'll hear back in mid May.
omg, that's so late in the year - barely gives you time to find housing and such
Deletebeginning of march through to mid-may is usual range based on my research
ReplyDeleteEarly offers already coming out, justsayin
ReplyDeleteOP here, I got an early offer but haven't heard from the rest of them...it doesn't really say on the websites either.

ReplyDeleteAre you all talking about thesis based grad programs or professional schools? Your acceptance dates are so much earlier than mine..
ReplyDeleteYeah I applied to physio schools so I have a long, painful wait until mid-May. But at least we start hearing about interviews in a month or so!
