QUESTION: Does anyone have strategies for making muscles recover faster? Other than eating properly before/after/ and following that golden ratio?

  1. Ice baths. Obviously most people don't have access to that so a few minutes in an ice cold shower can help, esp. if you can focus the cold water on to whatever muscle group you were doing that day.

    2. 1 here - Didn't know that. I was basing this assumption on having seen and heard of pro athletes doing this after exercise. I've tried the cold shower thing myself and think it works, but I obviously can't do a control on myself at the same time as the experiment.

  2. I'm sure there are some drugs out there but no, that's basically it. You can roll out on a roller to make DOMS go away a bit faster but DOMS and muscle recovery are not 1-1.
