  1. PC Financial - free banking, you can bank at the CIBC in the SLC, or the nearest PC Bank is in Zehrs at Conestoga Mall.

  2. Yeah, be sure to use a bank that actually pays you interest and doesn't charge you many (any) fees. I personally use ING DIRECT, but the nearest ABM is up in R&T Park. PC Financial is similar, except they let you use CIBC ABMs for free, which is nice since we mostly have CIBC ABMs on campus -- ING will (soon) let you use Scotia ABMs for free.

  3. RBC Student banking. No fees and you can also get a credit card. I got VISA gold so I get points for every purchase.

  4. I'm on a TD student account, zero fees, although I thought it really didn't matter which bank you went to...

  6. BMO. They've been wonderful. I've also banked with TD, RBC, and CIBC, and all of them suckes in comparison, really lacking in customer service.

The sad thing being, BMO's credit cards have lousier cash back rates than other banks, which compels me to deal with the other ones. I can't tell you how much I miss BMO's credit card people... so much more helpful. As opposed to chasing around RBC staff fpr 6 months for a credit limit change due to their fuckup. BMO would always upgrade mine on the spot.
