QUESTION: This term I'll be in Toronto on co-op, but I'll be going back to
Waterloo on weekends. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible
for me to get cheaper Greyhound tickets, since I'll be making so many
trips?
You can purchase a Via Rail 6 pack. Basically you 6 tickets at one time. I think it turns out to be the same price as Greyhound, but you get a nicer ride.
I liked the Fedbus when it dropped off at Islington station not Yorkdale. No longer worth the 3 dollar savings from the GO bus. However I can see how Yorkdale is a more central location
I think you can get $15 tickets at the turnkey desk. Is been a few years since I've gone to get one though so it might have changed.

ReplyDeleteUW Carpool
ReplyDeleteBuy the 10 pack for students! Around $129 with taxes.
ReplyDeletePresto
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Take the Go train and buy a Presto and register it as a student. It's only about $13 a ride and then you can use it on the Subway too.
DeleteYou can only use it at certain subway stations though -- usually ones that have transfers to GO, as well as stations like Dundas.
DeleteFedbus also works, its pretty cheap too.

DeleteIf you buy greyhound tickets online in advance, they end up being cheaper than getting them at turnkey (or the station)
ReplyDeleteUse presto and go bus. It's the cheapest option
