  1. Right now Waterloo Park has lights up all around. It's really gorgeous and perfect date atmosphere. It's entirely free and there's even benches around if you want to sit and chat/bring a snack/drink. If it's too cold, instead of sitting outside you can head over to sweet dreams for a $3 drink (usually on special) and just play a board game/chat.

  2. The Uptown Circuit

    1. Take your date for a smoothie&wheatgrass shot at Thrive Juice Bar
    2. Walk around the plaza to Venchenzo's to share a dessert
    3. Go window shopping around the uptown area, there's actually lots of cute little boutique stores that sell really cool/random things
~optional dinner recommendation: Jane Bond: really hipster chic place
    4. Princess Cinema's for old charm and romance
    5. Late night drinks at Symposium + Cheese cake?

Lots of opportunities for intimate conversations&romantic cuddles

    1. The beauty in this is that most students don't know these places, so you'll win brownie points on creativity. (Minus the symposium part)

    3. Reminder to prepare yourselves when you and your date go past the adult sex shop while window shopping around uptown.

    4. Dildo fight in the stag shop. Cost = 0. Fun = Priceless.

    5. All of the things you listed cost money, 3. Particularly juice bars and shit like that?! This is on the pricier end, I dunno what you consider "broke" to be :s

    6. @3e: I know I'm going to get shit for saying this, but perhaps you shouldn't be in a relationship if you can't even afford to get a cup of juice with your significant other. There's only so much walking around the park/watching movies on the couch you can do before you both get sick of it.

Going outside costs money. A broke student wouldn't be able to afford a lavish $200+ dinner, sure, but juice should be fair game.

  3. Skating late night at the uptown rink

    1. This is actually really fun -my boyfriend and I do this each year :)

You can probably get used skates (Kijiji, second hand store, etc.) if you don't have some

  4. I took a girl out just to walk her around uptown. It was alright, only problem is if you are as lazy as me, you get bored quickly and just wanna go home.

all in all, if you got a date, dont be cheap

  6. Skating, watch for free events at the town square on twatter, walking through Waterloo park at night in the snow (and maybe getting into a snowball fight :D), mix music together, go to DVLB and talk for hours ($4 coffee warning alert)... go to downtown kitchener for dinner on a Sunday night, it gets really quiet and there are some much cheaper places there. Bonus, you can go to imbibe after...

  9. You could bake a ginger-bread house (at home, DIY). Still have to buy the ingredients but you can make it for cheaper than the ready-to-make ones at the store.
You can try baking/cooking (protip: candles make everything more romantic. tealight candles are cheap and plentiful! music too! pick something you both enjoy to listen to. It can be background music or you can blast it -take your pick)

  10. If you are too cheap to buy drinks then this is how you do it: cups+snow+heat= drink (free of charge!) drinking water what could be better it's cheap, easy to come by, and something you both don't just enjoy but actually require to live. Showing your date you care about their life necessities is always a good sign in my book!!!

  12. My girlfriend loves when we walk though Waterloo park at night or at dusk. Loves when we go for runs together and even working out. I wouldn't say it's a date but it's something you do together. She also likes building snow forts to do various activities in...
Just suggestions. I wouldn't necessarily do these in newer relationship or a first date but they're clutch/free if you've been dating for some time.
