QUESTION: I want to start a blog, but I want it to be custom-designed (nothing too fancy, I just can never get everything I want in a template), Would somebody be able to help me with this? Would pay.
there really isn't a need for you to hire anyone. 2 gave good advice. If you have no webdesign experience and you find a template you like that you'd like minor tweaks done to let me know I can help you out (at no cost.. it really isn't much of an effort).
You can learn it yourself quickly with sites like TeamTreehouse. I've been learning web development with them and they are very good at explaining things and covering a wide range of material. They have a project where you can create and deploy your own website, teaching all the css/html/javascript that's necessary. I highly recommend learning it yourself instead of paying someone else, it's much cheaper.
If you don't want to do everything from scratch TeamTreehouse can also teach you how to use WordPress, which many blogs on the Internet already use.
How much $$ and what sort of layout?
